Andrew Webster has been a journalist for 17 years, reporting and editing for suburban, regional and metropolitan newspapers before moving to digital platforms in 2010. He was Digital Editor for the Courier-Mail and now holds that position at The Australian. Much of what he knows about online audiences came from harvesting the knowledge of young journalists while teaching part-time at the University of Queensland. When not “watching traffic” he enjoys travelling to foreign countries and getting as badly lost as Google Maps will allow.
