Behind the Panama Papers, with Gerard Ryle and Nick McKenzie (Ticketed separately, Melbourne)

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Gerard Ryle led the investigative team that revealed the Panama Papers – 11.5 million leaked documents from Panama law firm Mossack Fonseca that have given an unprecedented glimpse into the scope and methods of the secretive world of offshore finance.

The Panama Papers exposé resulted in resignations and political scandals in Britain, Iceland, Spain, Malta and Pakistan and has triggered dozens of official inquiries around the world.

In conjunction with the Walkley Foundation’s annual Storyology festival, the Melbourne Press Club is delighted to host a special lunch event where Gerard Ryle will detail the background to one of the biggest global scoops of recent years – and join a Q&A forum with Nick McKenzie, one of Australia’s leading investigative journalists.
