In the era of the “personal brand”, how is voice changing in reporting? When is writing in the first person immersive — versus simply narcissistic? Why is neutral, third-person still the favoured style? From text to documentary and video news, how objective can (or should) first-person stories be? We'll discuss generational preferences, and whether journalistic tradition needs to change.
